Theirsay Recognized by PRSA CT with Three Mercury Awards

The Public Relations Society of America Greater Connecticut Chapter (PRSA CT) recognized Theirsay with three 2024 Mercury Awards, which celebrate the best work in public relations in Connecticut.

Theirsay received a silver award in the “External Communications” category for its campaign promoting Goodroot’s report on medical debt. Theirsay obtained coverage for the report in a wide range of business, trade and local media including Fast Company, Fierce Healthcare and HR Dive. The groundbreaking report, a collaboration between Goodroot and Theirsay, received a bronze award in the “Research / Evaluation” category as well.

Theirsay also took bronze in the “External Communications” category for a series of interconnected, on-going campaigns to promote camping information and booking app The Dyrt. Between a comprehensive camping industry sponsored by Toyota and Best Places to Camp Awards sponsored by State Farm (and both created by Theirsay), The Dyrt appeared in hundreds of news stories in 2024 across mainstream, local and trade outlets such as Travel + Leisure, Thrillist and The San Francisco Chronicle. These were the highest awards bestowed on any CT firm in these categories in 2023.

“Congratulations to all the recipients of the 2024 Mercury Awards,” said Elizabeth Walden, president of PRSA Greater Connecticut. “We were thrilled to see strong submissions from across Connecticut, each highlighting our public relations and communications industry's talent, creativity, and impact.”

The Mercury Awards, the only statewide recognition of industry excellence in Connecticut, were announced during the PRSA Greater Connecticut Chapter’s 2024 Mercury Award Ceremony at the University of Hartford in West Hartford.
